2025 was a bit of a debacle for Blendon Township’s Manage Natural Landscape ordinances, and we are hoping for a much better outcome this year.
In November of 2025, two new trustees were elected to the Blendon Township Board, both of whom campaigned on support of nature and native landscapes. That gives them a majority on the small board of three trustees. The new board chair, April Zobel, has proposed a new Managed Natural Landscape policy that is the polar opposite of the highly restrictive version that was shouted down last year.
Those interested in commenting on the proposal or testifying in support, there is a meeting Tuesday April 7 at 5:30pm at the Blendon Township Senior Center meeting room. Please sign up to speak on the clipboard if you wish to speak.
